Access to HE Applied Social Science and Allied ProfessionsStevenage CampusPart timeThis QAA recognised Access to HE course is designed for adults who wish to pursue a range of social science degrees such as criminology, psychology, and sociology and vocational social science based programmes including Social Work and Law degrees but who lack the qualifications or confidence for direct entry. The focus is on developing academic skills through the exploration of three specialist subjects. The development and strengthening of English and maths skills underpins the programme. By providing a supportive and inclusive environment, the Access to HE programme also provides the opportunity for students to develop their confidence and realistically appraise their professional opportunities.
