Course programme

The programme comprises of sociology, psychology and modern social history with the common theme of ‘prejudice’ integrated through each curriculum area. Subject areas you will be studying include: Psychology Sociology History You will have the opportunity to take part in activities including visits to the Imperial War and Natural History museums and a possible residential trip to Auschwitz memorial museum in Poland. English and Maths are an essential part of your studies and will help you succeed on your course. These subjects help you develop confidence and are key employability skills that recruiting employers look for. If you do not meet the entry criteria but are interested in taking an Access to HE programme we may be able to offer you a Pre-Access course. This allows students to study three GCSEs in English Language, Maths and Sociology and will prepare you for the Access to HE programme. Our full-time courses are designed to help you achieve your ambitions whether your goal is to go on to a higher level of study or whether you are looking to start a job. Therefore as part of your course there will be employability and study skills (we call these PD Central) that are included to meet your needs and those of the industry you want your career in.
