Consequently, there are no formal entry requirements for students applying for this Access to H.E. Diploma (Engineering). However, students with relevant existing qualifications may claim accreditation of prior learning or transfer of credit

About this course

This course is ideal if you would like to join one of engineering honours degrees but need a preparatory period of study. It provides an alternative entry route if you do not meet university standard entry requirements but have the ability to succeed at degree-level study.

Once you have completed this course, you can join an engineering degree of your choice, dependent on satisfactory grades.

What are the entry requirements?

Due to the nature of the programme you must demonstrate the ability to be working at a minimum of Level 2 in mathematics and English, this can be demonstrated by a diagnostic test at interview or achievement of a grade 4 (C) or equivalent in GCSE maths.

Will the course suit me?

The Level 3 modules are designed to equip you with the general knowledge and skills required for a career in engineering or to progress to a degree in science.
