Summary
This is an Access Diploma in Computing and Information Technology for students over the age of 19 wishing to study Computing or Information Technology at University. The Access programme is validated by the Open College Network and provides a nationally recognised qualification.
About the Course
Some of the units on the course are likely to include:-
* Business Information Systems
* Introduction to Software Design
* An Introduction to Systems Analysis
* Programming Basics
* The Human Computer Interface
* Social Aspects of Computing and ICT
* Computer Networks
* Programming Project
By completing these units you will build your credits with a view to achieving at least 60 credits after one year.
You will also develop your study skills, presentation and report writing techniques. There will be an opportunity to develop your English and/or Maths skills where appropriate, to enable you to cope with the demands of an HE course. We will provide advice and guidance on preparing your Higher Education Application.
