The aim of this course is to open doors to study for applicants who do not have the specific A-level qualification pre-requisites that they normally need to enter a degree programme. There are many reasons why this course may suit you; you may be a student who has completed some qualifications and can show the right level of skill and maturity for this programme, you may be a mature applicant and have not studied A-levels but possess a wealth of work and experience in art or design; you may have
The Programme Content
This Access to Higher Education Diploma course is the first step towards either a degree at university, or the Foundation degree here at North Devon College. Alternatively, it may be studied as a Level 3 course in its own right. It is designed either for progression onto a degree in a theatre-related subject, or for those who wish to further their theoretical and practical knowledge of performance and its associated areas. The course provides a broad programme of study and also includes Study Skills modules related to performance.
Progression / Careers
Students would normally progress to our Foundation degree in Theatre Company upon successful completion of the Access programme or other Universities. Some students may seek employment in the Theatre industry or self employment
