3. Entry requirements Applicants must show a level of independence and life experience since leaving full-time compulsory education when they commence study and should possess a minimum of Full Level 2 qualifications (5 GCSE's which must include maths, science and English at grade C or above, or Pre Access Science including GCSE maths and English at grade 'C' or above. Must have relevant work experience in either Health or Social Care sector. Proof of existing qualifications is required before a place can be offered. Applicants will be selected for interview based on written task and application form. Factors considered during the interview include academic potential, motivation, relevant experience, and organisational and communication skills. You will need to demonstrate that you can study successfully at a level equivalent to A-Level and have good literacy and number skills. It is preferable that you have some IT skills, but you will be given an opportunity to acquire these. In addition to lesson time, you will be expected to complete about 16 hours of independent study per week.
