      Are you interested in gaining a nationwide qualification in order to apply to universities and colleges to study a degree in the Social Sciences?       Upon successful completion of the course and assessments, you will be able to apply for degrees in the following areas: Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Criminology, Politics and Economics.

      Therefore, the course can lead to a career working in a wide variety of sectors such as education, the charity and voluntary sector, the health sector, journalism, research, or public relations.

      Fiona has a BA (Hons) in Applied Community Studies and worked for Social Services as a residential social worker before doing her Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), she then worked for a number of years teaching Access to HE and A levels in an FE college. Fiona then worked for the Open College Network North West Region (now known as Open Awards), which was an Access to HE Validating Agency/Awarding Body, as the lead for Access to HE programmes and worked with local and national colleagues, including FE and HE partners writing and developing Access to HE units of accreditation.

      Nationally recognised Access to HE Diploma in Science by Distance Learning (60 Credits) from an Online College established in 1993.
