The programme is aimed at more mature individuals and provides the knowledge and skills required to progress to higher education or related employment. The course is recognised by all academic institutions and the course provides an excellent background for degrees and HNDs in law, criminology and other related subjects.

Course programme

Continuous assessment through varied, vocationally relevant assignments. Assessments are designed to prepare learners for higher education or employment.

Classroom hours are eight per week. All Level 3 courses will require considerable additional work outside of classroom time.


Potential progression to higher education in areas such as law and criminology or progression to employment in related areas.

At least Level 1 in numeracy and communication skills. No previous knowledge of law is required. All students who wish to study this course will have to go through a screening process to assess their suitability.

Students will be required to purchase textbooks and the course may involve trips which will require a contribution from students.
