Course Overview
Access to HE Diplomas are well established, national qualifications which allow students without traditional Level 3 qualifications to apply for degree courses and enter university.
Our Access to Nursing course runs over one year and is ideal if you wish to progress to university to study on a range of nursing related or health care programmes. The diploma may also be a beneficial qualification for students looking to go directly into employment, where Level 3 qualifications are required.
This course is designed for those who have had a substantial break from education, and who are likely to have experience of working in health care or with the general public.
You will study a range of subjects which will prepare you for your degree at university, including health science, psychology, nursing studies, maths and study skills.
Access to University is an intensive study programme, you must be completely committed to hard work and are required to maintain full attendance throughout the course.
Good English and maths skills are essential for success in studying and for future employment prospects and so Croydon College ensures that these skills are developed in all learning opportunities.
There may be opportunities for adult students to study English and maths as part of your programme, and the level and type of qualification will be selected to suit individual need.
Please note advance applications for September 2016 for this course have now closed. However, you can still come in to apply and enrol during our open enrolment period between Tuesday 30 August and Friday 9 September. .
