About the course This course is integrative, blending accounting and business finance theory to solve problems faced by managers on a daily basis. You will also further develop the necessary quantitative, research, and presentation skills required for successful career in business or further academic study. Your studies will be enhanced by the integration of theory and practice into those situations where vital financial decisions have to be made.

- Study in formal lectures, seminars and tutorials but also in small groups that involve the in-depth discussion of case studies, simulation exercises, preparation for assessments and work on presentations

- A six month work placement - a work-based learning approach in a suitable organisation, formulated in advance with the employer and business school.
- Internship - this is an assessed activity lasting one to three months, as monitored work or service/volunteer experience formulated in advance with the Business School. You will have specifiC learning goals and will actively reflect on the complete learning experience.
- The Live Project - this will enable you to work as part of a team on a project provided by a business organisation. The exact nature of the level of work, and nature of responsibility will depend upon the chosen organisation. However, there will be close negotiation between the company and the Business School.
- The dissertation - this is a conventional dissertation of , to , words, enabling you to undertake in-depth research of a topic relating to your course. It will consist of research question, aims and objectives, rationale for undertaking the study, literature review, research methodology, analysis of findings, conclusions and recommendations.
