Accounting is not just about mathematical techniques. Learning those techniques is important but there's more to it than that. We want to show you the bigger picture, so you can take your career in any direction you choose.
We'll help you to understand the role of accounting and financial management within an organisation. You'll learn how it affects everything from budgeting and control to environmental issues.
We've upgraded our facilities and added an advanced Financial Markets Trading Room. The room has 16 PCs, each with three screens, and customised financial software, used by industry practitioners worldwide.
Here you'll be able to combine underlying financial theory with the application of practical skills. You'll also be invited to London headquarters for live trading seminars and receive guest lectures from industry professionals.
The first year of the course gives you a broad understanding of accounting and finance. You'll learn the underpinning knowledge and workings of financial markets in a classroom scenario, moving onto the real life application of practical skills in second and third years with modules in Financial Markets and Risk, and Financial Derivatives.
Some of your modules will also cover material from professional accounting examinations.
