Costs and equipment The course is fully funded for those aged 16-18, however there may be an employer contribution for those aged 19+. There is no upper age limit for Apprenticeship funding. Course programme

The Intermediate Apprenticeship consists of several separate qualifications and is available at two different levels. You will be required to work towards achieving these through a combination of coursework and tests.

The Intermediate Apprenticeship leads to an AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting making it suitable for accounts assistants, cashiers, credit control clerks, purchase ledger clerks or sales ledger clerks.

The Apprenticeship framework covers the following elements:

- Basic accounting I
- Basic accounting II
- Work effectively in accounting and finance
- Basic costing
- Computerised accounting
- Professional ethics in accounting and finance

Functional Skills in Mathematics and English at Level 1. English aims to develop learners skills in speaking, listening, communication, reading and writing. Maths aims to develop learners skills using mathematics, analysing situations mathematically, interpreting solutions to problems using mathematics and coverage of mathematical content in number, geometry and statistics.

Employee rights and responsibilities: ERR Workbook, this is a workbook which aims to help apprentices and employers understand their employment rights and responsibilities and rights related to equal opportunities, health and safety and to understand the safe learner concept.
