Accounting Information and Management Degree Requirements

The following requirements are in addition to, or further elaborate upon, those requirements outlined in The Graduate School's Policy Guide.

Master's Degree

Accounting Information and Management is a doctoral program, not a master's program. However, doctoral students who complete the first two years of prescribed graduate level coursework with a B average and achieve an "MS Pass" on the department's written qualifying examination are eligible to receive the MS in Accounting degree.

PhD

The typical student spends four to five years in the program. Students demonstrate mastery of accounting, the tools used to study accounting problems, and the relevant research literature in order to reach the dissertation stage, typically by the end of the second year.

Other PhD Degree Requirements
