The Nationally Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) is the industry recognised & accepted route for operatives to gain a certificate of competence, needed to become a member of the Gas Safe Register. ACS covers all areas of gas work including domestic NG, LPG, commercial heating, commercial catering, commercial laundry, meter installation & emergency service provision. The scheme is overseen by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

We offer a range of Gas Courses including ACS refresher training, assessment & re-assessment. These are suitable for experienced gas engineers with current or recently expired ACS qualifications & individuals seeking training.

Our specialist ACS Centre based at our STEM Centre, Technology Campus is a recognised centre for students to update their certificates in Gas & Plumbing to continue to work in the industry or gain a career in it. We can provide both businesses & those self-employed with tailor-made provision to ensure that you receive the best experience when it comes to refreshing or gaining industry certificates.

Every 5 years a qualified gas engineer is required to sit an ACS Re-assessment to prove competency to work within the domestic gas industry. Gas engineers can renew their ACS 6 months early, which is added onto their ticket at the other end meaning you would not need to renew your ACS for another 5 years & 6 months.
