Year 1

This is not a taught course, but rather an assessment you should prepare for in advance. You will be tested on your knowledge and understanding of gas cooking appliances. This assessment will take place in controlled conditions. The College is a BPEC-accredited assessment centre working to nationally recognised standards. All learning will have taken place whilst you are working in industry or have taken a retraining programme.

Additional information

The assessment is completed in the newly constructed ACS gas centre at Freemen’s Park Campus. Candidates are advised to have sufficient experience on this type of equipment prior to taking the assessment. Candidates must hold a current CCN1 and applicants who cannot produce their original certificate must contact the ACS office for advice.
