Lamda Exams

Act specialises in private tuition for Lamda exams children age 8-18yrs. Sessions are adapted to fit each individual students needs and abilities.

What are Lamda Exams?

The London Academy of music and drama is the oldest drama school in the U.K. Founded in 1861; it quickly established itself as a centre of excellence in performance training. Lamda began offering speech examinations in 1880 and has now developed into a comprehensive system of performance evaluation by experts in education, acting and communication. It is now the largest speech and drama awarding body in the U.K.

Tutorials will explore all areas of drama, presentation and performance whilst working towards entering students for Lamda exams at the time each student is ready.

Tutorials will be held at the private home of the tutor or student, sessions are approx one hour long, costs depend on number of classes booked and the venue. Classes can be booked for 2 students at a time if working towards a duologue for the exam.
