Course Content & Certificate
This course is suitable for carers in a variety of settings (hospitals, care homes, community and domestic) who are responsible for preparing, administering and storing medication, and monitoring and recording its effects.
Content: relevant staff - routes of administration - physiological measurements – equipment and methods - immediate problems and adverse reactions - standard precautions and health and safety procedures - storage - legal requirements and codes of practice
Successful completion of the course gives a Training for Care Certificate of
Attendance.

Tutors and Teaching
Muriel Hood RGN. Muriel has over 20 years experience in nursing, working in both social care and health care and with a wide range of clients including older people and children with additional needs. She has a keen interest in skills development and is responsible for care assistant training in her current position.
Teaching is participative, with plenty of opportunities to discuss course related issues arising from your work.
