Summary

This programme enables students to develop the skills and knowledge required to progress to work, apprenticeships or further study. The broad content helps students prepare for a range of level 3 progression options.

Mandatory units include: Administrative Services, Document Production and Information Management, Communication and Employer Organisations.

Optional units could include: Meetings and Social Media.

Work experience can be organised with support from the Experience of Work team. GCSE or Functional Skills in English and Maths are also part of this course, together with an individual tutorial programme.

Additional information

Progression Progression can be to employment, an apprenticeship or another course. The expectation is that progressing students will have met 90% attendance target plus have demonstrated a good level of performance in terms of work progress and behaviour, and will successfully complete an interview.
