About this course
You will enhance your skills in nail cutting and hard skin
removal, it also includes the safe use of the dremel drill, basic treatment of corns, verruca's, fungal nails and other common ailmats. Intro to padding, strapping and intro to the use of orthotics. You will get a good overview of what foot health care is about and what it is like to do as a profession. You will also have found out the basics of running a business.
This course is suitable for those who want to start up in foot care or add more to their existing basic skills.
You must complete and pass the anatomy and physiology theory modules 1 – 10, or have a qualification equivalent taken in last 12 months, before the course starts. We also ask that you have taken Basic Foot Care (or equivalent) recently and/or have been practising a former qualification until recently or currently.
You will receive an NCFE-accredited certificate, showing completion and achievement of the standards required to pass assessments in these subjects.
