About this course
You must have already achieved a NVQ 2 in hairdressing or beauty therapy or 5 years equivalent experience for the technical units. An 80% attendance work or academic rate is required. Learners must also have good English and maths skills. Two references are required at interview, one of which must be an employment reference.

Description Breakdown:
The route ways available for an advanced apprenticeship are Ladies Hairdressing, Barbering, Beauty Therapy, Nail Technology and Spa. The Advanced Apprenticeship has a strong emphasis on developing advanced practical skills within your chosen career route. Learners are reminded it is equivalent to A-level standard. There will be online tests and practical assessments throughout the programme. You will also complete key skills at level 2 for communications and application of number. These will help develop your skills in the salon. You will attend college one day a week and will work in the salon for a minimum of 16 hours for the remainder of the week.
