Course summary:
This course is designed to provide a thorough training in Beauty Therapy at Level 3.

Course content:
This 1-2 year course offers a complete training in Beauty Therapy at NVQ Level 3 for those people who have decided to specialise in this field.
The course will cover the following areas:-
G11 - Contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business
BT17 - Provide head & body massage
BT19 - Improve face & skin conditions using electro-therapy
BT20 - Provide Indian Head massage treatment
BT21 - Provide massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils

Additional units available:
BT18 - Improve body conditions using electro-therapy

Alternative Level 3 routes are available:-
Spa Therapy
Make-up

Course structure:
Trainees will be based at a local, approved commercial salon, and will attend college one day per week to augment the training they are receiving at their work based placements.


Qualifications achieved:
Successful trainees will be awarded the Advanced Diploma in Beauty Therapy. This is a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) at Level 3 awarded by the City & Guilds of London Institute. It is based upon the practical requirements of the beauty industry.
