The Advanced Apprenticeship including the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (Early Years Educator) aims to guide and assess development of knowledge and skills relating to Early Learning and Childcare. This qualification confirms competence in these areas where appropriate and serves as the required qualification for registration and regulatory requirements in the sector. GCSE Maths A*-C, GCSE English A*- C, ICT Level 2 functional skill, Employment Rights & Responsibilities & Personal Learning & Thinking Skills are also included in the framework.

About this course

Ideally, GCSE grade A* - C Maths & English, however there is the opportunity to complete them as part of the framework.A level 2 qualification or keyworker experience.Employment in a supervisory/keyworker role for at least 30 hours a week is required.

Course programme



Tutored sessions will include powerpoints, videos, tutor led group discussions and group work. There is also a requirement of individual study, research, portfolio work and completion of assignments



Achievement will lead to an opportunity to work towards a Foundation Degree in Early Years, this in turn will support the achievement of Early Years Professional Status.

Additional information

An interview with a member of staff, initial assessment and employment are required to secure an Apprenticeship.
This is a rolling programme so you can start at any time of the year.
