The Marketing and Communications Advanced Level Apprenticeship is for those working in a marketing role such as marketing executives, marketing co-ordinators or communication officers. This Level 3 course requires you to use advanced skills for gathering and analysing data, as well as experience handling both projects and people. You will develop and implement marketing strategies, design research projects and advertising campaigns, work up databases and run a challenging portfolio of products and services.
Apprenticeships are made up of framework of qualifications and training based on testing competency and developing practical, occupational and transferable skills.
PRACTICAL/COMPETENCY ELEMENT
City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Marketing
Mandatory Units:
• Analyse competitor activity
• Contribute to the development of a marketing plan
• Evaluate and improve own performance in a business environment
• Work with other people in a business environment
Choose from a range of optional units to enhance your learning experience and tailor the programme to your individual training needs.
TECHNICAL/KNOWLEDGE ELEMENT
City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Marketing
TRANSFERABLE SKILLS:
• Maths Level 2, English Level 2 and ICT Level 2
• Employment Rights and Responsibilities workbook
• Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
This apprenticeship takes 20 months to complete and has a flexible start date.

Course programme
Marketing assistants and executives can progress to co-ordinator level. Further learning opportunities include CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing or CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing.
There are no formal entry requirements but you must be in a job role that supports the completion of the framework.

These qualifications are delivered completely in the workplace through regular assessor visits. You will be assessed in the workplace using a variety of methods including observation, questioning, professional discussions, witness testimonials and candidate work products and statements.
