"Organisational Theory and Behaviour
This module is an introduction to the concepts and topics in organisational behaviour (OB) and theory. The course focuses on OB at three levels: individual, interpersonal, and collective. Students will learn the individual level, covering decision-making, motivation, and personality and then turn to the interpersonal level, covering power, influence, and negotiations. The module will include the collective level, covering groups and managing change.
Business Law
This module will provide students with the general knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of business law in Singapore. It covers major topics discussed in business law courses providing clear examples and simplified cases. The module contains many practical points and common clauses when drafting a contract.
Project Management
The aim of the module is to introduce students to the important aspects of project management, project evaluation, project implementation and project review. Project scheduling, project costs and risk strategies are also considered.
Resource and Talent Planning
This module aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required for resourcing and talent management within organisations.
Performance and Reward Management
This module provides students with knowledge and understanding of Performance and Reward Management which is considered to be an area of growing importance within HRM. Organisations looking for ways to improve their performance, there is more focus on how to manage both the performance of their workforce and the ways in which that performance is rewarded. The module will enable students to develop a critical analysis and appraisal of the fundamental principles, key frameworks, strategies, systems and good practices of compensation and reward, and the contribution of compensation and benefits to the achievement of HR and business strategies.
Learning & Development
This module provides students with knowledge and understanding of Learning and Development. It explores the concept of learning and development within organisations. Students will develop a greater understanding of L&D within organisations, considering how this has become an on-going life long process. It will include how L&D is used to develop employees through identification of training needs and work based learning.
International Human Resource Management
This module focus on human resource management and organisation and the Global challenge. It will provide students with a broad guide on how to manage the process of internationalisation. It will equip students with the main developments in HRM in a global context. The module will also provide students on practical examples from companies that have experienced the real challenges if International HRM
Employment Law
This module will provide students with the general knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of employment law in Singapore. It covers major topics discussed in employment law courses providing clear examples and simplified cases. "
