Course programme
Teaching will include subsidised instrumental / vocal lessons at the University Music Centre (covering thirty minutes’ tuition every two weeks) as well as masterclasses with professional musicians. The marking standards for this module would be similar to a performance diploma such as DipABRSM (Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music). The module may be especially attractive to a student preparing for such a diploma.
This module has a pre-requisite of either a grade of 16 or above in MU1004 or entry by audition. Students who wish to audition should contact the module co-ordinator Tom Wilkinson before the start of Semester 1.
Students taking this course should attend the first class meeting on the Tuesday of week 2 at 10am in the Music Department Seminar Room in Beethoven Lodge, 65 North Street (see MMS for further details).
The class meets every even week number between 10 am and 11 am in the Music Department Seminar Room in Beethoven Lodge, 65 North Street during both semesters.
