About this course
Mirroring aspects of our MSc Advanced Clinical Practice course, if you're a practitioner with an existing MSc qualification this course can let you develop advanced practice skills with additional learning.
If you’re a senior and experienced community practitioner, then this course is ideal if you wish to take your skills to a more advanced level and fulfil any one of the growing numbers of advanced practice roles within modern healthcare.
You should have an MSc in Specialist Practice (PHP/PCC SCPHN), or a recognised equivalent international qualification. You must be currently registered as a healthcare professional to apply.

Course programme
The modules on our course are 15 credits each. This is apart from the V300 which provides 30 credits towards the Primary and Community Care course. You can expect to complete the PGCert Advanced Practice (Public Health Practice) in two to five years. Currently, we cannot offer you the opportunity to study our course over one year.

The University operates a credit framework for all taught programmes based on a 15-credit tariff. Modules can be either 15, 30, 45 or 60 credits, and additionally for some masters dissertations, 90 credits.
