What's it all about?:
If you are working with or caring for an infant under the age of one, it is your responsibility to ensure that the child is safe and happy in a childcare environment that is fun, educational, and nurturing. Our course will develop your knowledge, understanding and skills about the care routines and hygiene procedures required to promote the healthy development of babies in your care. You'll build on your previous study to add current theory and research to inform and promote good practice.
Progression:
If successful, you will be able to progress to the Foundation Degree in Early Years (Sector Endorsed) at the College or to other relevant qualifications within the sector.
Entry Requirements:
You must have already obtained a recognised level 3 childcare qualification.
Duration: 20 weeks
Business Benefits:
The roles and responsibilities of managers/supervisors and the sole professional carers such as nannies and childminders will also be examined.
Course Overview
What does the course involve?:
The unit provides in depth consideration of the overall needs of babies with particular emphasis on the relevant theory and current research, which informs day to day practice.
When can I study?:
Various evenings, 6.00pm - 9.00pm

No, you will undertake an internally marked, written assignment, set by the awarding body.

Instalments are available for course fees. A deposit of £47.50 per year is payable before enrolment followed by three monthly payments of £47.50 per year
