Course Overview:
This qualification is primarily aimed at candidates who provide advice and guidance support to others. It recognises that employment in the advice and guidance sectors involves a diverse range of functions, tasks and activities. This is shown in the range of optional units available.
The qualification requires proof of competence across both mandatory and optional units, achieving a total of 21 credits.
Establish communication with clients for advice and guidance
Support clients to make use of the advice and guidance service
Review own contribution to the service
Understand the importance of legislation and procedures
Three optional units from a selection including:
Develop interactions with advice and guidance clients
Prepare clients through advice and guidance for the implementation of a course of action
Liaise with other services
Interact with clients using a range of media
Assist advice and guidance clients to decide on a course of action
Enable advice and guidance clients to access referral opportunities
Assist clients through advice and guidance and review their achievement of a course of action
