Occupational Health Safety Regulations in Saskatchewan states that persons using power mobile equipment in the workplace requires 16 hours of combined classroom and practical training. This class covers the classroom portion and some practical evaluation. Each successful student will receive a temporary Trainee Certificate and a form to be completed by his-her supervisor (who is competent in operating the equipment) to verify the trainee has completed the required number of hours operating the equipment under supervision. The official permit will be issued once the form is returned by the employer. Participants are required to bring their own PPE including hard hat, steel-toed boots, fire resistant coveralls, work gloves, protective eyewear, and hearing protection for the practical components of this course.
