Filming with drones, or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, is really in-demand. Taught by experienced UAV video producers, by the end of this course you will know how to start filming top-quality UAV video.
The focus on this course is on the specifics of using UAVs for effective video – both technical and creative. It is suitable for you if you want to capture moving images for broadcast, commercial or surveying. You will be encouraged throughout the course to think about how you can use UAV filming in your work. There will be lots of opportunities for you to ask the tutor questions about your work.
The course is classroom-based and the tutor will guide you through demonstrations, case-studies and discussions. In the morning you’ll have the chance to see each component of a UAV film set-up and find out how it works with film and editing software. Your tutor will cover the basics of Civil Aviation Authority requirements as well as privacy laws to ensure that you know where to apply for licenses and permissions.
In the afternoon you will take part in planning exercises working to a client brief. This will require you to take into account factors such as wind, height, obstacles and the creative outcome of the filming.
