The Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Fitness (QCF) provide learners with essential knowledge and skills required to pursue a career in Active Leisure. How will I study?

The learner must achieve all units for the PT course: *Anatomy and physiology for exercise and health *Know how to support clients and physical activity *Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment *Principles of exercise, fitness and health * Applying the principles of nutrition to a physical activity program *Programming personal training sessions. Sports Massage Units: *Anatomy and physiology for sports massage *Assisting soft tissue repair *Assisting soft tissue repair *Professional practice in sport massage *Assessing clients and treatment planning *Applying Sports massage techniques *Providing post-treatment care. Design and implement exercise programs for pre and post natal client. Planning exercise referral programs with patients *Understand the importance of long-term behavior *Collecting information to plan an exercise program *Understand how to identify health related fitness goals
How will I be taught?

Sessions will be practically taught as well as classroom based theory lessons. Sessions will be in the fitness sweet and studio, along with theory in the classroom. There will be peer assessment and working with the community throughout
How will I be assessed?

You will be continually assessed throughout the course both formally and informally. The main assessment for the qualification include: Coursework, multiple choice examination, portfolio of evidence and practical demonstrations/assignments.
