The course will give you the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills required for an exciting and challenging career in airlines, air freight, freight forwarders, express couriers and general logistics or supply chain management.

About this course

You will learn through practical application and delivered lectures, workshops, seminars and group work sessions.

The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
You’ll study core subjects like finance, economics, HR management, marketing and strategic management.
You'll also study the specialist knowledge required for a career in the various parts of the air industry or within the logistics sector. So you can begin to shape your own course and create your ideal career path.
Many of your lecturers have worked in the commercial world, with a range of experience across world-leading companies like Argos, Hallmark Cards and Unilever.
We’ve also developed a large number of contacts in the industry such as Jet2 and DHL. You’ll have the chance to hear some inspiring guest lectures, and go on site visits.
Most importantly, you could take an optional work placement with a business in the aviation industry.

Previous graduates from this subject area have gone on to roles such as Project Logistics Co-ordinator, Logistics Graduate, Air Import Export Co-ordinator, Tender Management, Project Co-ordinator, graduate Manager, Junior Operations Manager and Air Freight Co-ordinator in organisations including Virgin Atlantic Airways, Air Charter Services, Cathay Pacific Airways. Jet 2, PD Portcentric Logistics, Airbus Group, Hellman Worldwide Logistics, Cummins Inc, Clipper Logistics Group Ltd, NHS Bradford District Care Trust and UPS Supply Chain Solutions.

If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
