If someone organized a contest for the world's dream profession, aircraft piloting would definitely take one of the leading positions. Since time immemorial people have been charmed by the sky and the sight of flying birds. Later, people were fascinated by sailplanes, airplanes, and other types of aircrafts.

Handling an aircraft is similar to driving a car - once your goal is clear, you will definitely find the necessary means to reach it.

Aircraft piloting studies at Antanas Gustaitis' Aviation Institute not only provide both knowledge and experience to pilot airplanes or helicopters, as well as a comprehensive understanding of aviation. This program is intended to those who are interested in aircraft piloting and aeronautical engineering, i.e. to those who wish to become pilots.

The programme is designed to ensure that after five years of integrated studies it is possible both to obtain the aeronautical engineering master's degree and aircraft (airplane or helicopter) professional pilot's license.

There is a very considerable worldwide lack of pilots, therefore, the graduates of this study programme transfer just as much value to the modern workplace and will definitely get employment.
In the course of studies, students learn to pilot both single-engine and twin-engine jets and improve their skills in a flight simulator. Also, students gain sufficient knowledge to pilot any type of aircraft, e.g. civil aircrafts such as Boeing or Airbus, or any type of fighter aircrafts. VGTU Antanas Gustaitis' Aviation Institute cooperates with The General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania in training of fighter aircraft pilots.
