It will communicate the importance of airworthiness requirements for the design, production, operation and maintenance of military platforms and systems. Additionally, it will interpret the principles of airworthiness as applied to the process for certification of military platforms and systems. It will discuss and examine the process for continuing airworthiness management for different types of military platforms and systems. It will provide an understanding of Ministry of Defence airworthiness organisations, policies and procedures, their evolution and current format. Furthermore, it will explain the application of airworthiness to structural integrity, gas turbine engines, and human factors.

Course programme

Course structure A five-day course that is run three times a year. The course comprises of lectures and group exercises and is supported by visiting lectures in the field of military airworthiness.
