AIX System Administration I: Implementation

Aims and Objectives
Install the AIX operating system. Software bundles and filesets. Perform system startup and shutdown.
Understand and use the system management tools. Configure terminal and printer devices. Manage physical and logical devices. Understand the concepts and role of the Logical Volume Manager. Perform filesystem management. Create and manage user and group accounts. Perform and restore system backups. Utilise administrative subsystems. including cron to schedule system tasks.

Target Audiences
This course is designed for delegates who are responsible for system administration duties on an AIX system.

Prerequisites
Delegates should be familiar with basic information technology.
