History
Alan d Education is arguably the largest privately owned hairdressing academy in the U.K.,occupying some 5000 square feet nestling behind Oxford Street in the heart of London’s West End. The Academy offers a flexible curriculum with courses ranging from one day to thirty-four weeks. The philosophy of Alan d Education is to teach ‘usable and commercial hairdressing’, helping to build skills and earning potential fast. Every aspect of hairdressing is taught from cutting and colouring to the latest barbering techniques.

All courses are taught by the Alan d Creative Education Team, led by Creative Director and Director of Education, Edward Hemmings, whose experience in the industry has seen him conduct seminars and workshops across the globe to audiences of up to 4000 hairdressers. The team regularly travels throughout the UK and abroad delivering workshops and seminars demonstrating the latest cutting and colouring techniques to the industry. They frequently update their skills and qualifications and are directly involved in the planning and delivery of the Alan d Education curriculum.
