Overview
This course focuses on the safe moving and handling of people. The course includes a variety of practical situations and is underpinned by relevant theory. Group discussion is very much encouraged throughout the course.
Individuals taking part in the course must be capable of safely lifting an objective from the floor and moving people from one place to another i.e. bed to chair, to achieve a certificate of competence.

Module B
Inanimate load (object) handling - Demonstrates how to safely lifting an object (box) from the floor, using the principles of safe lifting.

This course is continually assessed. Candidates receive a certificate of attendance that is valid for 1 year.
