There's an advice to all that before going to the place get yourself a health insurance as the city is really very expensive.

Earlier I used to find it difficult to catch the accent and get into the conversation fluently, but with time spent here, I got the problem sorted in few moths.

The atmosphere is very lively here. The only issue was that the rooms are not single seater, and the bathroom is to be shared by the whole floor.

It was tough for me in the beginning to speak in new language but after some time i coped up and talked alot with everyone.

Rooms in the dorm was rather old but furnished enough to suite the needs of a student. The bathroom and kitchen on my floor are neat and clean.

Anyone who has decided to join the Washington semester program at American University, they should be well awared about the low academics level, low like everyone would pass and no one would be afraid of failure.

Its often that you will avoid taking classes with students who are congressional aides or established proffessionals in tech companies. Mny proffessors here have tie ups with some local business communites so they bringin the real life world along with their reasearch knowledge. American University is one of the best kept secret in Dulles Corridor

What I would highlight:
In the beginning we faced problems from locals that didn't realise that we are international students but with little more time it got easier for us to cope with them though few expressions may still cause hindrance to the confidence . Overall the course is going well with nice host university and its good facilities.

What I would highlight:
Iam from Catholic University of America, I chose this because school of my choice was not listed. This school is great and provides strong abroad study programs in countries like Paris, France. After 3 months of course in France I was fluent in language with my host family and the natives as well. Iam now an IES ambassador of my school and double major in international Business and French.

I live in out of the campus accommodations and my campus accommodation friends quite loked it because there they have to share a common bathroom and have to face noise while studying.
