I didn't see any coordiation of the Art department in Rome with Washington DC. They should be fully cooperative if they're conducting art classes.

A lot of money has been shelled out on travel in Italy. Other than that things are quite affordbale in Italy.

There are many places to checkout, one such is Testaccio you see the real Italian nightlife. You will see huge crowd and culture.

Nice accomodations, but they could be super expensive. The apartment size was standard but the place is noisy.

All you need is Italian at the University, if you truly want to be a part of the University. It isn't easy to mingle around unless you know the langauge much, and neither others want to mesh.
