AS and A2 Level Drama and Theatre Studies Entry Requirements

• For a 3 AS Level programme you will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at A*-C including English and Maths or equivalent.
• For a 4 AS Level programme you will need a minimum of 6 GCSEs at A*-C including English and Maths or equivalent.

To progress to A2 Level a minimum of grade D at AS Level is required. Entry is subject to a successful interview. If you have been out of education for some time you may wish to consider the Access to Higher Education programme as an alternative to A Levels. Content

Assessment AS Level:
Written and practical coursework combined 15 %

Written exam 15 % Progression The course aims to develop learners practical creative and communication skills in almost equal measure and extend their capability to create drama and theatre, either in a performing or production role. Learners will be expected to write about drama and will develop their powers of analysis to become an informed critic.
