AS and A2 Level Media Studies Entry Requirements

A2 Level: The AS plus Two Units
Unit Three: Critical Perspectives (Examination)

Section A: Compulsory questions on unseen stimulus material.

Section B: One essay question from choice of two pre-set topics.

Unit Four: Research and Production (Coursework)
  • Critical Investigation (2000 words)
  • Linked Production piece
Assessment Module 3 and 5 are assessed through the completion of two coursework assignments. All other modules are assessed by examination. Teaching methods are varied and encourage student participation through group work, discussion, individual research and practical projects. Progression From the AS course you will be able to progress to A2 level and then further study or employment. The course has an excellent record of students progressing to Higher Education.
