Introduction to course
A level ICT is a popular choice amongst students. The department has a team of very experienced teaching staff with a wealth of industrial experience to help you succeed. The College has excellent IT facilities. Three dedicated classrooms have been totally refurbished to a very high specification. The rooms all have digital projectors, interactive whiteboards and brand new state-of-the-art computers with flat screens. Learning is supported through Adobe CS3, MS Office and a wide range of open source software.

Course Details
You will learn how to organise, manage and distribute data in a modern working environment. The course consists of four modules. Two modules enable students to demonstrate their practical skills by taking them through the development process in order to solve real life problems. You will be shown how to use generic software applications and given an appreciation of the technical aspects of ICT. As technology shapes the way we work and play, you will also be made aware of the social and legal implications of ICT in modern society.

Where the course lead
Students may progress to industry or continue in higher education and study for a full time degree in their chosen subject. It is particularly suitable for those students wishing to combine ICT with another subject area, such as Science or Business Studies.
