"Often those who would like to contact an angiologist are faced with a dilemma, the result of a lack of knowledge regarding the specific skills of this particular branch of medicine. Before going into the details, it is necessary to clarify this doubt: the angiologist deals with the study of circulatory diseases, but he goes even further, as he analyzes all the systemic diseases of the organism. The angiologist's task, therefore, consists above all in recognizing cardiovascular pathologies in the most appropriate way possible and in recommending the best treatment, whether pharmacological or surgical. This is a fundamental phase because not all doctors, despite having great skills, are able to prescribe or recommend diagnoses with the precision of an angiologist. Said this, the angiologist can prescribe a pharmacological treatment but only recommend a possible surgical operation. The angiologist is not limited to carrying out instrumental examinations, diagnosing cardiovascular pathologies and proposing the most effective pharmacological therapies. A very important part of angiology, in fact, concerns prevention: we often go to an angiologist too late, when now the only remedy remains an invasive demolition of the blocked veins. There is a possibility to avoid this surgical solution, but it all depends on the timeliness and awareness of the patient: contacting an angiologist in time, even when the situation does not appear worrying, can avoid numerous complications. There are several elements that should convince anyone who senses its presence to contact an angiologist, to check for any problems that could subsequently degenerate. The disease of the veins depends on some valves that no longer work and that affect the elasticity of the venous walls: this leads the blood to stagnate, causing pain and an ugly appearance of the affected areas.
