History

Animal Aiders was set up to provide a link between scientifically based advice and the normal animal handler. Our aim is to provide sensible and practical information for the correct treatment of an animal in a first aid situation. Animal Aiders initially gave Horse First Aid Courses in the autumn of 2006 and then launched our highly sucessful Dog First Aid Courses in Spring 2007 followed by Cat First Aid Courses in Spring 2009.

The course is taught by a practising veterinary professional who is able to communicate the information easily and accurately, providing the attendee with the confidence to act in a first aid situation effectively. The course is backed up with a comprehensive first aid booklet and a certificate of attendence. This course aims to support the Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training and Canine Behaviour (Module A2 element vi) and it is approved by the NTIPDU (The National Training Inspectorate for Professional Dog Users.
