This course delivers 28 hours Accredited *CPD classroom and practical instruction and is designed to introduce delegates who have been selected for appointment as an Authorised Person (Petroleum) to the requirements of working on Petroleum Installations ensuring that a Safe Systems of Work is implemented, managed and controlled by competent persons. This course meets the main requirements of MoD JSP 375, Chapter 5 and other similar safe systems.

About this course

On completion of the course, delegates will have the requisite knowledge to be able to identify typical petroleum installations, products and hazards. They will be able to assess the risks involved with petroleum installations, check the competency of operatives, the quality of their equipment and ensure that the correct controls and safety documentation is in place prior to issuing a permit for any work to be carried out.
