Appointed Person

This 1-day course provides basic emergency first aid for the appointed person.

And includes training in:

• What to do in the event of an emergency
• CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation)
• Dealing with an unconscious casualty
• First aid for wounds and bleeding
• Burns & scolds
• Injuries to bones, muscles and joints
• Shock

All organizations as a minimum requirement must appoint a person to take charge of first aid arrangements including looking after first aid equipment and facilities and calling the emergency services when required. There should be an appointed person available to take control of all first aid arrangements at all times when people are at work.
