Course 119 - APPOINTED PERSON FOR LIFTING OPERATIONS
CRANE SUPERVISOR FOR LIFTING OPERATIONS

• Gain a practical understanding of safe and appropriate techniques whilst in charge of lifting operations
• Plan, supervise, co-ordinate and control all types of lifting operations
• Have an understanding of responsibilities under current relevant legislation.

Personnel selection is critical, the position of an appointed person carries a great deal of responsibility, therefore, only suitable personnel should be selected for this work.

Highly participative with demonstrations highlighted by use of PowerPoint and Videos along with group and individual exercises.
The course will be introduced through a formal presentation followed by practical tasks, planning of lifts, risk assessments and slinging of various loads.

3-4 days.

Eligible companies may be able to claim grants toward their Training as this course is CITB approved for grant purposes.

Intermediate Certificate, Scottish Progression Award, CPCS Trained Operator Card, RTITB or Theory & Practical.
