For Apprentices or adults wishing to gain a start in the Maintenance Engineering industry. It is necessary for the off the job training for this programme to be supported in company to enable the trainee to develop the required skills.

Description Breakdown:
The course has been designed on the Engineering competency Standards and as such meets the requirements of both employers and the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority who oversee award accreditation.This course underpins the Apprenticeship programme at Level 2 but can also be a stand alone programme for mature trainees. The programme is made up of 6 units. 2 mandatory and 6 optional. There is one multi-choice external exam covering the three core units and then on programme assessment, in either multi-choice format or short answer questions and practical elements are tested. For apprenticeship programmes you will need to carry out appropriate NVQ & key skills/Functional skills.
