Course programme
What will I study on the course?
Learners will study a classroom based BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering. This will cover a variety of engineering theoretical units. The practical portion of the framework consists of a QPEO2 NVQ in mechanical electrical or welding and sheet metal work. The QPEO consists of 3 compulsory units (Health and Safety, Communication and Effectiveness and Efficacy). Additional learners will study 3 optional units; these units depend on the practical bias of the QPEO. The frame work requires that learners complete 5 key/functional skills at Level 1. These are Communications (Literacy), Number (Numeracy), ITC, Manage own learning and Working with others.
