The Programme
This is a vocational qualification that requires completion of a portfolio of evidence to show competence in a number of IT related areas. The programme is very practical and includes an element of work experience.
The Programme Content
The iTQ qualification, Key Skills in Communication and Key Skills in Application of Number
The iTQ has one mandatory unit, and other optional units from which the Trainee can choose.
We have devised a ?standard' course which can be modified by agreement between the Trainee, the Trainer and the Employer. The standard course structure is:
a) Mandatory Unit: Make Selective Use of ICT
How the Trainee chooses between different software packages.
b) Word Processing Software
How Information should be presented using a Word Processor.
c) Spreadsheet Software
How Information should be presented using a Spreadsheet.
d) Database Software
Design and development of Databases.
e) Presentation Software
How information is presented using Presentation software e.g PowerPoint
Progression / Careers
Many students choose to go on to other IT related programmes such as Advanced ECDL or A-Level IT. Others complete modern apprenticeships (Level 3) or seek to enhance their employment prospects.
